Japanese language
I guess, this is nothing new, I mean every Anime/Manga/Japan fan would start to learn Japanese language to make their ” Japanese dream loot” or “Japanese magical Akihabara trip” or ” I want to be successful in Japan” dream come true :D
I was about 10 or 9 years old, when I decided my future ^^’ I am not saying that I was a “Pure Genius” then. I just wanted to have the perfect future, which consists of doing my fav job + living in Tokyo.
I passed exams and became student of Free university of Tbilisi - this is the only University where you can study Japanese in Georgia. Before passing Uni exams, I was learning a lot Japanese words and Expressions from Anime and Anime songs, and trust me, this is the huge key to master that language.
So, even through I have been studying this language at my uni for 2 years, I felt that this was not enough for me.
After collecting some amount of money from my part time job, I decided to buy few items from amazon.com.
My goal is to read Japanese magazine freely at age 26. ( I’m gonna be 20 soon ^^’ )
The difficult part of learning Japanese is Kanji, there are about more than 1945 Kanji characters to learn.
so, In this photo you see:
Kanji Flashcards, which are very useful! You can enjoy learning Japanese and play a guessing game with this cards.
Kodansha Kanji dictionary id very cute and easy to use, it contains a lot symbols and each of them are described in a perfect way.
and also you can see The Ultimate Japanese Phrasebook. I had a tons of fun while reading and studying this book. There are soo many rare and funny expressions, really I recommend this book to everyone :D
In future I plan to buy Denshi Jisho – electronic Japanese vocabulary, but for now, I’m out of moolah ^^’ ( going to pay for pre-ordered figures XD )

Looks like a lot of fun. I’ve always wanted to learn Japanese but none of the classes in the states offered it because it wasn’t as “useful” as Spanish, French, and German.
Maybe some day I’ll sit down and really try and pick it up. Like you, I already know a lot of words from watching anime.
But for me, my focus would be increasing my vocabulary and learning how to form sentences before I would even consider learning to read. ^^;
Best of luck! ^^
How much was all of that? Must be expensive xD
I’ve been learning Japanese for the past 3 years (still so far to go ;^; ), totally have to agree with you about anime and all that. I’ve also learned a few kanji from attempting to read RAW manga =D
With dedication there is little we can’t do ^^ がんばって!
@minyatto
I have paid more than 170$ I guess ^^’
Oh! Raw manga is best way to master Kanji indeed ! *v*
ooh thats a good thing to think about – kanji. Your books look good enought to help you with everything! I wish i had them read too)) (then i coped them all XD)
and im very agree with your thought that raw manga is best thing to help, i had a friend who did learn over 900 kanji by manga, just knewing nearly 100 at the start.(but it took time XD)
good luck with it))) i adore your desire.
hello, I found funny(not negative meaning) a japanese word.
>Denshya Jisho
This dictionaly use for extreamly maniac or specialist.
When you are not specialist, this dictionaly make you “鉄:Tetsu” or “鉄ちゃん:Te-cchan”.
Because
Densha meaning “電車:train” and train run railroad.
Railroad is iron road(鉄道:tetsu doh).
鉄(iron) pronunciation is “Tetsu”.
※e-dic ・・・ Denshi “電子:electric” .

In Georgian we use Denshi ‘ya’ Jisho, because it sounds cuter in our language. :D

あの、どうやってあたしのブログを見つけてしましたか? ( just interested :D )
Hello, chibi.
I understood it’s same as. My name is Hiro however it’s more suitable Hiro than Hilo in English pronunciation.
>どうやってあたしのブログを見つけてしましたか?
Sorry, I forgot it. My browser’s (Firefox) history has always erased every session, so I couln’t search it.
When I found Chibi’s blog, I was inputting otaku, travel, japan, hiroshima or/and anime in google.com or yahoo.com. But now it couldn’t found, so maybe I forget some words…
