Kuboten – Ultimate weapon for Anime fans!

As you see, I’ m in love with Anime figures and collecting them with a high speed.

We all know that this hobby is very expensive  because prices of various anime figures and items are just way to high.

Well, I searched over in internet and found an amazing solution!
You can buy everything from Japan in very cheap prices!
as u know http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/ is the most famous and popular auction in japan, BUT! If you live outside Japan, you cannot buy something there, the reasons are listed below:
1) you can’t understand Japanese
2) you don’t live in Japan
3) sellers are mostly shipping to japan.

What should you do? when you see a original figure for 1yen [ which is less than 5 cents ] at auctions.yahoo.co.jp and exactly the same figure at ebay.com for 285$ O.o

of course you want to buy item which costs 1 yen.

I was searching in internet and found a great site – http://www.kuboten.com/

What is kuboTEN?

Kuboten is a Japanese deputy and shipping service that helps you to get awesome stuff that is only available in Japan, or that is much cheaper when purchasing from Japan. You can use their search and translate tools to help you find great auctions and shops to buy your stuff from. They are also extremely otaku and are complete Japanophiles, so feel free to have a chat with them in their community forums :3

The main person who is talking to you is Craig, very nice guy to talk with, and he will help you with everything <3>

You don’t need to have a paypal account, they accept master card and visa  too. also, you don’t need to have a deposit at the site to make a bid!

Simply:

1) just search for the favourite item at http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/

2) then register at kuboten.com

3) go to the auction bid form – http://www.kuboten.com/store/index.php/auction_bidder

4) Please make sure to check the following before bidding:

1. The seller’s feedback. (help)
2. The item description and condition. (help)
3. The full cost of the auction – including shipping to our offices in Kyushu. (help)
4. Our auction bidding services terms of service.

5) bid and wait ;)

FAQ:

How kuboten works?

They will buy the item(s) u requested, then they will receive item in their office – which is located in japan. and after that they will send you the item.

The best part of kuboten is that, they can store your items, that means that if you want to buy more items at japanese auctions, they will store all items together and will send them in one package [ if your items are not too big ]

What are the full costs involved?

You will be responsible for paying:

  • The ending price of the auction if you are the winner.
  • The cost of shipping for sending the auction goods to our offices in Fukuoka, Kyushu.
  • Any other auction charges the seller has provisioned. These rarely come up, and are usually against Yahoo! Japan Auction’s terms of service, but you should be aware that they do exist. Some examples of these charges are things like sales tax (legal) and Yahoo! listing fee recovery (illegal). Please read the description thoroughly and ask in our forums if you have any questions.
  • The cost of shipping from our kuboTEN offices to you.
  • Our kuboTEN fees, which are a flate rate $10 + 7%* commission on any auction, per auction.
    * credit card purchases will incur a 3% surcharge, making the total commission 10%.

so that’s it folks, i really recomend this site <3

BE RESPONSIBLE! DO NOT  BID ON THE ITEM IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY FOR IT! YOU WILL BE BANNED AUTOMATICALLY FROM SITE!

Well, I have personally a BAD experience, waited 1 week to know the shipping cost, paid and after 14 days he didn’t ship the stuff that already had (over 300$).
Blocked the payment, avoid it

I’ve used KuboTEN a lot since late 2009, but since Craig had a move and has been building a new site, there has been a decided lack of responsiveness in the KuboTEN message board. Other buyers’ comments about slow responses have led me to hold off using the service anymore until Craig either a) finally responds to the messages on his forum, or b) finally launches the new KuboTEN site. His main reason for the new site is that it is supposed to automate a lot of what he currently has to do manually (entering bids, handling shipping payments, etc).

When he is actively engaged, the service is great. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been focused on the business for the last several months. I really want to use the service that has been great in the past, but am hesitant to make any further bids or purchases at the moment.
